Privacy Policy

The short version. Sayla has no accounts and no login. We do not collect your name, email or phone number. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. Your learning progress never leaves your iPhone.

1. Information we do not collect

Sayla does not ask you to create an account. We do not collect or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or device identifiers. There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracker in this app.

2. Microphone and speech

Speaking practice is the core of Sayla, so the app needs your microphone. Audio is captured only while a speaking exercise or a call with Sayla is active, and only after you grant permission.

Your speech is converted to text using Apple's on-device Speech framework. Depending on your device, language pack and connection, Apple may process this audio on its own servers — this is Apple's standard iOS speech recognition, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Sayla does not record, save or upload your raw audio. Nothing is written to disk and nothing is retained after the exercise ends.

3. What is sent to our server

To give you a live reply and correction, the transcribed text of what you said — never the audio — is sent to our tutoring service at bridge.masarholidays.com over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

While a call is running, the last few lines of that conversation are held in memory on the server so Sayla can follow what you are talking about. When the call ends, all of it is deleted. Nothing is written to a file, nothing is kept afterwards, and none of it is linked to you — the app sends a random session number that is thrown away and never reused.

If our server cannot be reached, the app falls back to a built-in written script so the lesson still works offline.

4. Third-party content services

For example sentences and word audio, Sayla may request public content from:

These requests contain only the word being looked up. No personal information is included.

5. Your learning data

Your progress — XP, streak, hearts, gems, completed lessons and collected fairies — is stored locally on your device only. We cannot see it. Deleting the app permanently erases it.

6. Purchases

Gem packs are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see or store your payment details. Everything purchasable can also be earned free by playing.

7. Children

Sayla is a general-audience education app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data tied to you, there is no account to access, export or delete. To remove everything Sayla has stored, delete the app from your device.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
