Open iPhone Settings ▸ Sayla and make sure both Microphone and Speech Recognition are on. If they are, check your phone is not muted and that no other app is using the microphone. Force-quit Sayla and reopen it.

Turn the volume up with the side buttons and check the silent switch. If you are on Bluetooth, try disconnecting it. Some iPhones need the language's voice downloaded once: Settings ▸ Accessibility ▸ Spoken Content ▸ Voices.

The live call needs an internet connection. If our server can't be reached, Sayla automatically falls back to a written script so the lesson still works — it just won't be a live reply. Reconnect to Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.

Offline recognition needs Apple's language pack on your device. Go to Settings ▸ General ▸ Keyboard ▸ Dictation and enable the language you are learning. Without the pack, Sayla needs a connection.

Progress is stored on your device only, so it does not transfer between iPhones and is erased if you delete the app. There is no account to restore from.

Hearts refill over time on their own. You can also spend gems to refill them straight away, and gems are earned free by finishing lessons and keeping your streak.

Gem packs are consumable, so they are added the moment Apple confirms payment. If your gems did not appear, force-quit and reopen Sayla. Still missing? Email us with the date and amount and we will sort it out.

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
